Pantone’s Top 10 Colors for Spring 2017
When Pantone released it’s top 10 colours this season, we were pleasantly surprised to see that they were both bright and vividly eye catching. Usually, Spring hues are softer, more muted. But that’s definitely not the case this year. We’re going all out with shades like Pink Yarrow, Flame and Primrose Yellow, or more commonly known as Barbie Pink, Carrot Orange and a Citrus Yellow. The various shades are reminiscent of those that we can find in nature. Pantone put together this Colour Report in response to the different shades that were seen on the runway from different designers.
The most prevalent colours, in order, were;
PANTONE 17-4123 (Niagara)
PANTONE 13-0755 (Primrose Yellow)
PANTONE 19-4045 (Lapis Blue)
PANTONE 17-1462 (Flame)
PANTONE 14-4620 (Island Paradise)
PANTONE 13-1404 (Pale Dogwood)
PANTONE 15-0343 (Greenery)
PANTONE 17-2034 (Pink Yarrow)
PANTONE 18-0107 (Kale)
PANTONE 14-1315 (Hazelnut)
These are for sure the colours to have in your closet this spring season. All these looks can be worn either individually as dresses, or jumpsuits, or can be worn with other articles of clothing. A Niagara colored top may be paired with a some denim jeans or a skirt. They can also be paired with each other, such as Flame being paired with Niagara.
