Fashion Trends 2017

Bohemian Inspired: The Bohemian themed outfits were a hit on the runways in 2016 and it is one of the few trends that have made it into 2017. The looks are earthy, organic with a bit of an eclectic feel, adding personality and artistic detailing to a look.bohemian insp

Sassy Sequins: Designers have really gotten the hang of using sequins daringly. The sparkly nature of the embellishments have been used freely to showcase a cooler creation, the models especially appearing incredible in their shiny silhouettes.sequins

Transparency:  Transparency is still in and going strong it seems, but without the excessive show of nipples, instead playing subtly with showing off skin and hiding at the same time. There is a certain sheer modesty style happening now, with silhouettes that would normally provide full coverage appearing in sheer materials instead. All that’s required is for you to show as much skin as possible while still covering up.

Frills and Ruffles: Lots of ruffles appeared on the runways as we just mentioned and nearly all designers make use of the trend at one point in their collections or another. Cascading frills are a common feature and while it counteracts the sleekness of many of the other designs, it certainly adds a good amount of fun to the whole thing, playing with texture and dimensions throughout.ruffles

Ready Robes: The robe influenced trend brings the comfort of home to the outside world. Paired with athleisure outfits, these robes take on a new meaning.  Robes with great colouring and that comfortable edge make them the one thing you could wear in and out no matter the mood at the moment.robes

Crop tops:  It appears we are still going to be enjoying cropped tops, sweaters and shirts in 2017.This was a huge trend in the ‘80s and ‘90s, and it has been a while since the open midriff was heavily in but it seems to be making a comfortable comeback this season. crop
